Polar Express

 Each winter the Heber Train does a Polar Express themed ride.  I have thought about going, but never looked too much into it.  This year Christy bought tickets for her family and at the last minute Sadie got sick so Ben stayed home with her and she offered the tickets to us.  I thought it would be fun for Addi and I to go so off we went. The ride is about an hour long and they have elves in each train car leading songs, passing out hot chocolate and cookies. Once you reach the North Pole, Santa boards the train and visits with each passenger as the train takes you back to the train station. It was quite squishy leg room wise, but we had a good time. I love the picture Christy got of me greeting Santa.  I think I was more excited than Addi was.  Haha. Santa gives each person a fancy bell from one of his reindeers. Afterwards the cute elves come around and let you ring it for them and they will tell you which reindeer it came from. Addi go Vixen's bell, I got one from Comet and Reese got one from Prancer.  I can't remember the rest. On our way home we stopped and ate at Golden Corral.  What a fun day we had!

Thomas Edison Christmas Party

 I LOVE where I work.  I have the most amazing coworkers. They make even the hard days bearable and make me want to go back each day. I also love the fact that I get to see my kids sometimes during the day and know what is going on in their day to day. Tonight was our work Christmas Party at the Eccles Ice Arena. We got snacks and spent a few hours skating around. Addi and Hunter went with me since their best friends moms work there too.  Addi loves to do anything and everything with Leilana, and Hunter loves to hang out with Logan.  They often play xbox together and go skiing. What a fun night!

Hunter turns 13

 For his birthday this year Hunter wanted to have his friends over to play games and eat.  It was SOOO cold, but they all braved the weather and had a great time.  They played cross net, Kube, roasted marshmallows over the fire and had chili. He has a really fun group of friends. Hunter is never one lacking for friends. He even got his most desired present. An XBOX! We nicknamed it "time waster" when we had to name the xbox. I thought that was appropriate. 

Hiking with the Ladies!

 I was able to join my friends Cindy Hooker, Meaghan Walsh and her daughter Bridget Walsh to hike to the White Pine Lake up above Tony Grove.  I have wanted to hike this trail again for a long time and convinced my buddies to go with me.  The day was gorgeous and the temperature fantastic.  I couldn't have asked for a better day! We played Disney trivia, ate our lunch on top of a boulder at the edge of the lake, explored a new route around the lake and enjoyed marvelous conversation.

Kenzie's FFA Competition

 Kenzie has loved getting to be involved with all the FFA things since being in high school. She got to attend an FFA competition at Snow College and had a great time. She loves animals and has decided to either pursue becoming a veterinarian technician or a licensed veterinarian in the future.  I'm sure she will do great things.  She has also joined the Cache Valley 4H Dog group and has been training Einstein. He has learned lots of new tricks and is getting much better at obedience.  Last Saturday their group joined the USU parade and waved at all the people as they walked from 2nd South on Main Street to 10th North.  There were some very exhausted puppies and kids by the end of the parade. 

Adams Family at Pickleville Playhouse

We took Kenzie to the Adams Family Play at the Pickleville Playhouse this year for her birthday.  They put on a great performance. This is the story of Wednesday bringing home her fiancé and the two families meeting.  It was quite funny. Afterwards we ate at Sabores. We loved bringing our friends along for the journey. Meaghan, Sarah and Bridget came with us. 

Weekend at Island Park

 We had the opportunity to join Ben and Christy at a friend's cabin up in Island Park. Einstein thought if he hopped in the car while we were packing that he would get to go to. Funny side note.  I knew we were going to Island Park, but in my head it was Antelope Island.  Its a good thing I double checked and Kristi second guessed me or I would have added hours onto our drive. We were able to paddle board down the river, play in the woods making a lean-to, go for rides, sit around in the hot tub and just relax and enjoy ourselves eating delicious food.  What fun we had!
