Grandma Reese died on January 19. She was 89. It was almost 10 weeks to the day from the day Grandpa died. I know they always talked about wanting to go at the same time so neither would be lonely. Grandma suffered quite a bit from dementia towards the end. I'm so glad we have such happy memories of her. She was an amazing lady and I can't wait to see the two of them again. Towards the end she had told someone that Donald and her dad were there on the couch talking and she hoped they weren't talking about her. I'm sure they were there to bring her comfort and take her with them.

Ice Castles in Midway
I have been dying to go see the ice castles that they have in Midway so I packed up all the kids and invited my sister to go with us. It cold, but so much fun. I insisted that we stay until they turned the lights on in the ice and it was so worth seeing even though it meant I had to deal with bored and whiney kids. They were done by that point since we had already been there about an hour and a half, but I couldn't get any later tickets because they were all sold out. There were slides made out of ice, an ice throne, beautiful ice sculptures, and tunnels all around you can walk through. Its only open a few weeks and I'm glad we went opening weekend because people were already breaking off pieces of ice everywhere even though all the signs asked you not to.

Guess who has braces?
Addi got her braces and retainer on today. Her mouth has been tiny since she was little and we are worried about the teeth that still have to come in. Looking back, I remember her pediatrician would tell me how little her mouth was every time we went in for a wellness check. Even after pulling those six teeth, she doesn't have enough room. They said they could just pull the next few out, but after questioning them they said it doesn't fix the underlying problem. So....they put a retainer in to widen her arch to try and fit more teeth in there. We expanded the retainer twice a day for a week and it left quite a large space. When we go back in again, he will start moving the teeth back together. I'm hoping this fixes some of the space problem she has.
